How to publish and share a duelgo

A duelgo moves through the states Draft → Published → Closed → Evaluated. Publishing is done manually with a button; there is no scheduled opening — only the closing (the deadline) can be scheduled. You see the state as a coloured badge in the header of the duelgo Overview; clicking the badge opens the sharing settings.

  1. Open the “Publish” step

The last step of the editor. You can open the same dialog from the duelgo Overview too (click the state badge, or the Options menu → Sharing settings).

  2. Set how long it can be played

The “How long will the duelgo stay active?” section — a specific date and time, or the Unlimited switch. If you set a deadline, adjust the close message too — everyone arriving after the deadline will see it. The message previews right away as a chat bubble from your moderator.

  3. Adjust the social preview

The SEO title, description and preview image (a ratio of roughly 1.91 : 1) — that's the card shown when the link is shared on Facebook, WhatsApp and the like. You can upload a custom image on paid plans; on Free, the card is generated automatically from the moderator's photo and name with the duelgo logo.

  4. Check the short link

The address duelgo.fun/xxxx — 3 to 10 characters, lowercase letters and digits only. The editor pre-fills it for you, checks availability as you go (Available / Taken), and the dice icon generates a different one. Without a valid short link, publishing won't go through.

  5. Choose the language and, if you like, a league

The language drives the system texts players see (buttons, messages) — your content stays in the language you wrote it in. A league can be assigned on paid plans; once the duelgo has been evaluated, you can no longer change it.

  6. Publish

The Publish button. For an already published duelgo, Save changes sits in its place — sharing edits take effect immediately.

Sharing after publishing

Three tiles appear on the duelgo Overview: Short link (click to copy), QR code (click to download a high-resolution 1024 px PNG — good even for printing on a poster) and Social preview (click to open it for editing).

The QR code points to the short link, so it keeps working permanently.

Duelgo addresses and renaming

Besides the short link, a duelgo also has a long address /dlg/… derived from its title. While the duelgo is a draft with no players, it changes along with the title; after publishing (or the first player answer) it locks, and renaming no longer changes it. Even so, share the short link — it is always stable.

Changing the deadline and reopening

You can move the deadline at any time: duelgo Overview → Change closing date. The same route lets you reopen a closed duelgo — just move the date into the future. After evaluation the date step is hidden; an evaluated duelgo cannot be reopened.
