Vouchers and discount codes
The Discount code item (Closing category, from the Business plan) rewards every player who finishes the duelgo with a unique code — for a discount, a ticket, a drink at the club restaurant… The player sees the code as a card with your text, an optional banner and a QR code. A great way to turn online players into a visit or a purchase.
- Insert the “Discount code” item
Add more content → Closing → Discount code. Code generation turns on automatically; the item is placed at the end of the duelgo.
- Write the text and instructions
The voucher text (what the player has won — “20% off merch”) and the usage instructions (where and how to redeem the code — “Show this code at the till”). Optionally add a banner (a landscape image above the card).
- Set validity and limits
Validity in hours from issue (empty = unlimited — a short validity works well for “come by today”) and the maximum number of redemptions per code (0 = unlimited, 1 = a single-use code).
- Optionally adjust the code format
A custom prefix (up to 10 characters, e.g. VIP) and a code length of 4–12 characters; you see a preview of the resulting format (e.g. VIP-X4K9) right away. Longer codes are split into two parts for readability.
How redemption works
After finishing, every player gets their own code (one player = one code, even if they open the duelgo again). Your staff verify the code on the public page duelgo.fun/verify/… — fastest by scanning the QR from the player's voucher. The page shows the validity and deducts a redemption; it rejects an expired or used-up code.
Good to know
There's no list of all issued codes in the studio yet — you can look up individual players' codes in the player log or in the data export.
You can turn the QR code on the voucher on or off with a switch in the item's settings.
